Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 7.10
Evolution 2.12.1-0ubuntu1.1 0

I have a number of messages filters to process on POP 3 and Exchange
inboxes. Most look at the sender and move to an appropriate local
folder. Pop3 works fine, but the Exchange process does not.

Expected to happen: Messages in both inboxes are processed and moved to
local folders as appropriate.

Actually happened:

POP messages processed as expected.

If the "Apply filters to new messages..." checkbox is set on the
Exchange account, the following happens:

1. the Exchange inbox on the sidebar shows a count of unread messages,
2. the Exchange message summary does NOT show the new message headers unless
3. Evolution is restarted. Then the current messages appear, but not the next
set. Restart is required.
4. In either event, the filters are not processed unless the message headers
are selected and Ctl-Y is used.

Alternately, I can uncheck "Apply filters to new messages..." and the
inbound messages are displayed in Inbox folder. Select and Ctl-Y can
still be used to process the filters.
