Public bug reported: $ uname -a Linux AMD 2.6.24-15-generic #1 SMP Fri Apr 4 03:48:31 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
$ cat /var/log/messages | grep fglrx Apr 7 17:13:49 AMD kernel: [ 45.707455] [fglrx] module loaded - fglrx 8.47.3 [Feb 25 2008] on minor 0 I have an Acer Acpire 5024WMLi notebook, I use 32 bit Kubuntu Hardy Heron (most fresh at 07-04-2008), I have an ATI X700 mobility card. The symptom of my bug: By elusive times the desctop freezes for a for a short or a long times. During the frozen state the clock application is frozen too. If I run a program eg. cat a long log file then in this case that will be stopped too. So it is very strange. After I move the mouse the time starts and the stopped programs will be running again. Sometimes (rather often) when I keep push a button (eg. for moving cursor), then the cursor will be stopped and after a few seconds that will be moving again. Sometime this bug shows more often for long and longer times to stop. Finaly my desktop will be frozen. (I had this notebook for Feisty where all were cool except suspend and hibernate.) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Hardy - Desktop freezes for a short or a longer time after freezes totally https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/213427 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
