OK, I've done a bit of testing now. Mounting with "sshfs -s" does seem to work, I have yet to see any crashes like that. The other don't seem to help, though; I've tried with all of them together, and I still got crashes (and it works veeeery slow), so I'm pretty sure multi-threading is to blame.
