I see this as well, running gutsy x64 on an Intel Q6600 system. Freshly
installed azureus crashes the JVM (IcedTea) with a SIGSEGV.

Further, I installed the Sun JRE, and set that as my default JRE, and
the azureus start script STILL finds the IcedTea JVM and runs that
instead. In order to get azureus to work properly, I had to set
AZUREUS_JAVA to point to /usr/bin/java. The logic in the azureus script
to find a JVM is completely ridiculous. I don't want to set an
environment variable just to make azureus respect my choice of default
JVM. I ended up editing /usr/bin/azureus to comment out all the initial
crap, and just use the first 'java' it finds on the PATH. This is how
it should have been to begin with.

Azureus works fine with the Sun JRE 6.
