I have probably encountered the same problem just now on gutsy, with a USB keyboard, 105 keys international. I noticed that the numblock stopped working, or rather acted strangely: all keys but "+" were dead, and the "+" key inserted some text I typed before (I think it wasn't equivalent to Ctrl-V, but I didn't check carefully). I'm usually sending my machine to hibernation, so the initial bug description could also apply here. After a proper system restart (without hibernation), the numblock works again.
