The database gets dumped/reloaded because the format changes. The libldap-2.2-7 that is needed to make slapcat work is removed because it depends on libsasl2 that is no longer available (replaced with libsasl2-2) and it has a exact version dependency on the libsasl2-modules packages (libsasl2 has the same for its version). This force libsasl to be removed and that in turn force libldap to get removed.
