Hardy 8.04 Daily (20080409) installed. Usplash issue is still there but this time, the status bar ends up being overplayed on top of itself and visually mixed up. Installed http://people.ubuntu.com/~ogra/xserver-xorg-video-geode_2.8.0-5_i386.deb Forced geode driver installation to overwrite files which were installed by the amd driver. Attempted restarting X, running "X -configure" and running "displayconfig-gtk" to change the driver. None of these automatically set up greater resolutions or fixed usplash issues. Rewrote xorg.conf file to use driver for VGA controller. Does not seem to correct any issues.
