could'nt there be a kind of a check if the preferred application is set to the default, and if not just ask during upgrade what to do, with a warning that it may be that the path to the current application has changed. If I change config files in /etc, I'm also asked if I want to keep my changes or accept the config of the maintainer.
Another thing is, that if the preferred application can not be launched, a Message should be shown to the user, as I've seen the message only on the console. -- open link in browser from evolution does not open Firefox after upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212828 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
