Public bug reported: Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk
I just installed Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit. I have all the latest updates and I'm using the proprietary NVidia driver (installed using the Restricted Drivers tool). My hardware is as follows: Intel Core Duo Extreme Quad-core 3 GHz 4 GB RAM 2 x 500 MB SATA harddisk 2 x NVidia Geforce 8800 GTX 2 x LG Flatron 19" TFT monitor, 1280 x 1024 pixels When I open System -> Administration -> Screens and Graphics and go to the Graphics Card tab, it shows both my NVidias. However, it only shows the first one using the nvidia driver. The second one is showing the nv driver, and if I try to change it nothing happens and the change does not stick. I click on the driver to change it, select the nvidia driver and click OK. The dialog now correctly shows the nvidia driver for the second graphics card. However, when I click OK to save my changes, it does not ask if I want to save anything, nor does it give an error message, it just closes. If I open Screens and Graphics again, the change has not been saved and it shows the nv driver again for the second graphics card. ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- driver change of second graphics card not remembered https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
