The problem is not getting any better with any subsequent release. I would welcome any recommendations on how to fix this. To reiterate this worked at Gutsy and through some of the early releases of Hardy, but now exhibits the problem where the monitor refresh on the right screen doesn't happen without a click in a window or in the case of the desktop cursoring over some part to case a refresh to occur. I would put this as a high problem, particularly in the space of developers that use Ubuntu as a base for development. I know many that have the same class of video hardware that I have and they would be furious to uinstall to Hardy to have this problem waiting for me.
I have sent the requested log files, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you identify the problem. It really should be addressed before Hardy is released!!! linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-16-generic: Installed: 2.6.24.12-16.34 Candidate: 2.6.24.12-16.34 Version table: *** 2.6.24.12-16.34 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/restricted Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status nvidia-glx-new: Installed: 169.12+2.6.24.12-16.34 Candidate: 169.12+2.6.24.12-16.34 Version table: *** 169.12+2.6.24.12-16.34 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/restricted Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status -- Dual-Head Monitor Refresh Issue on Second Screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201076 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
