So, actually you're asking me to re-install my system? Too bad these logs
aren't saved somewhere automatically to be used at a later time, if necessary.
Or are they?
Anyway, 'luckily' my Hardy installation died on me when I had a problem with
the SATA cable of my main harddrive. So I re-installed today, using the latest
Beta live CD.

After rebooting, again none of the settings were migrated. I suspect my
partitioning scheme might be the (or a) cause of the problem - I have my
/home mounted on a different partition (sdb3), and migration-assistant
indicates it's getting it's settings from sda2 (the root fs of my Ubuntu
7.04 setup). However, migration-assistant should be able to handle a
configuration like this, since it's quite common (and advisable, IMHO).

I'll attach the logs mentioned on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs .

Hope you have enough info to start working this bug now.
