Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gconf-editor

I am using Hardy Beta and have the following strange problem.
gconf-editor does show entries/folders in the database, which I have already
deleted with

gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/"App Name"

I use this, because there is no other way to get rid of gconf-enties
from apps, which I have removed.

These are all entries from apps, which I have tested under Gutsy. I have
to admit, this was so under Gutsy too, but I have forgotten to report
this and it is really annoying to see stuff, that is not there.

I don't want to remove ~/.gconf* , because I don't know what consequences that
might have. This is not a clean install, but upgraded system. In fact the last
time I installed ubuntu was Ubuntu 5.04. I don't know, if this could have
something to do with that.
Look at the screenshot and you will know what I mean.

Is there any other "cleaner" way to remove gconf entries. I wished, that
gconf-editor would support such operations, too.
