I'll use the info to do my best to try to find what happens.
For Linux sake and the working of this machine.
I'm a computer geek, but quite new to Linux.

But, but, but...
Could someone look at Bug #213747, too?
It describes random application crashes on the same hardware and software.
Hardware is sane (Windows XP runs like a charm).

Could it be that, for some reason, the same bug happens earlier so that 
it affects the booting kernel instead that only (or mostly) the 
applications?

We might solve a hard to find bug, that way.

information automatically produced by Apport?
