FWIW, I've been successful in running Skype within 'pasuspender' (all other "solutions" I read about all over the web did not work at all).
Maybe there should be an Ubuntu info page on this. If there is an Ubuntu Skype package (last I checked there wasn't), it should make the desktop icon run pasuspender by default (as mine does now). No, this won't make Skype produce sound next to all your other apps, but at least it will WORK (which for me is a huge improvement compared to where I was a few weeks ago). -- Default ALSA device must use PulseAudio, otherwise ALSA applications may fail https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198453 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
