Hi! THanks, I have tried but no way: still going to low resolution. But it did something more: It set the card to a mode so that when I removed the .conf and re-logged in, it was still in low resolution mode. I had to power-off the pc to get back to high resolution with no .conf. I am attachning the X log, just in case it couyld be of help! Franco
