Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-themes-ubuntu
Surely this is not an important issue, but in ubuntu 8.04 the package called "firefox-themes-ubuntu" should be renamend to something like "firefox-2-themes-ubuntu". It is confusing for new unexperienced users and could lead to dependency problems. It would be more consistent, also like all other packages are seperated to something like "firefox-2..." and "firefox-3.0..." Example: An unexperienced user browses packages in Synaptic to find something interesting. "firefox-themes-ubuntu" sounds cool, so the user wants to install it; not paying attention that also "firefox-2" from universe is going to be installed. Then he wonders, where the themes are or accidently starts surfing the web with firefox-2 instead of the standard firefox-3.0 Mhm this is really not a big deal, though it would be nice, if the package could be renamed, would be more user-friendly and less confusing. ** Affects: firefox-themes-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- firefox-themes-ubuntu package should be renamed to avoid user confusion https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219942 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
