Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: avant-window-navigator

When I am running Avant-Window-Navigator in Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon (on
April 20, 2008), with these applets:

Trash Stack
Terminal
Stacks Applet
Regular Window Navigator

and I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen ANYWHERE (meaning my
dock can be very small but if I move my mouse to the bottom corner the
dock still pops up) and then it WILL NOT go away, blocking part of my
open window, until I mouse over the actual dock, which can be and
usually is smaller than the entire bottom of the screen.

This is extremely annoying and probably the only reason I do not use
AWN. Please fix this by one or both of the following (at least the
second one, but both would be best):

--Only have AWN pop up when you mouse over the bottom of the screen
where the actual dock is (in the center), not anywhere on the bottom of
the screen (unless the dock covers the entire bottom of the screen).

--If AWN is on top of a window and it is not moused over, have it
disappear to the background (behind all open windows) after two (2)
seconds.

Implementing both would be best, but at least implement the second one.

Thank you for your efforts in development.
