Okay, sounds like the issue is fixed. @Peter, in your case I notice the time on the apport crash report was pretty close to when the upgrade was done, so perhaps that was from prior to rebooting? Or else perhaps there was a lag in when the crash occurred and when apport noted it. In any case please keep an eye on it, and if you see the crashes again with the new kernel, please open a new bug report.
