I have the same problem with 1.5.0.7. It'd be nice if this problem can
be fixed somehow. Something that may help: I uninstalled the mozilla-
thunderbird package and installed the tar.gz archive (linux i686) on my
own. The problem remains after transferring the "old" profile to the
"new" profile. So I guess that it's not an Ubuntu specific problem ...

After a few tests, I've found a way to reproduce this strange behavior:

1. Create a new "RSS" account
2. Add a new feed to the root of the RSS account
3. Create a sub folder
4. Move feed to the new sub folder

I did this for the PowerShell blog, Mono blog (both moved to
"development" folder), and Beryl blog (moved to an "application"
folder).

Now it's impossible to refresh the RSS feeds.
