Public bug reported: After a clean reboot, resuming from sleep brings up the user logon screen with no problems. Then every time after that, an orange screen shows up without the logon window. I can still type in my password and hit enter or switch virtual terminals and restart gdm, but it's just an orange screen without the logon. Suspend always works the first time, but when I get to anywhere between the 3rd-7th time resuming from sleep, sometimes it won't wake up and I'll have to restart the computer. Not sure if the problems are related, might be a separate bug. Only link is higher probability of failure every time I resume.
