Testing Gutsy. Booting live CD brings the computer up with a US keymap (which is understandable as no keymap choice is given). Starting the installation and selecting a different keymap immediately kicks in both in X windows and in the console, with international console characters missing (only iso8859-1 seems to be available). After reboot, X keymap is fine (both keymap and the fonts), but the console keymap (although set properly) still misses iso8859-2 fonts; moreover, national characters produce a funky looking symbol (a thick double vertical line) that is not iso8859-1.
I'll try installing Hardy and report my findings.
