Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

Somewhat related to #198808

I am using Hardy on an HP 6510b with Intel X3100 graphics.

The script hal-system-power-suspend-linux unsets all quirks for new
Intel graphics chipsets. This means all the work put in to the HAL fdi
files by owners of laptops with Intel graphics is ignored. For example,
my HP 6510b NEEDS --quirk-vbe-post or the screen backlight stays off
after resume.

Previously under Gutsy the worked fine, i.e. I created an appropriate
fdi file and my screen backlight would come back on after resume.

** Affects: hal (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
