Reviewing my bookmarks, I can confirm that all my new bookmarks are the old ones from my Gutsy's Firefox. My first Firefox version in Gutsy was 3.0b3 (not surely 100%).
I haven't reviewed the Firefox deb package, then the following is a posibilitity to recreate this instalation fault: During the actualization from firefox2 to firefox3 let a firefox2 windows open. Firefox2 should keep a bookmarks.html copy to disk ruining the firefox3 configuration script job. There is a 99% probability for me if this was a posible situation. Excuse me John.
