I saw a post somewhere (sorry, I can't remember where) that said the
wrong temperatures were from the temperature readings being converted
from tenths of a degree Celsius to Fahrenheit twice.  It had some ACPI
microcode to fix the problem, but it only worked for the case of the
temperature appearing colder than it really was.  Unfortunately I have
the other problem (appears hotter than reality), and the problem is
still there in Hardy Heron.
