With the Hardy Beta (mine being an upgrade, rather than fresh install) 'Pink Halo' effect. When I'm messing with Emerald and generally varying the opacity/radius settings, I can sometimes see a pink halo around all the Panel and windows - looks like a clash of some kind. Using 'Compiz Fusion Icon' to switch and reload things can leave you with clean windows (no shadow or halo), but my side panel has a ghostly vertical stripe equal to it's width (ghostly because it isn't a shadow, it's a white halo, and it appears around the desktop furniture (menu's etc).
