My hardware is MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (nvidia nforce3 ultra chipset). pressing F6 and adding a space and pci=nomsi doesn't change anything. I'm more familiar with redhat based distros, so if I'm doing this wrong, let me know. I haven't downloaded the alternate cd yet. I did remove the quiet and splash boot option to see more info. Now the last thing I see are messages about sda and sdb my sata disks. I may try booting from an external cdrom to bypass the sata controller, but I don't have the time today.
