Hi Michael

A friend of mine installed Kubuntu via Wubi and had the following issue:

He inserted a password with a german "Scharfes S" "ß" . After login the
password was determined as wrong and it was
not possible to start any program or function which needed sudo.
We had to reinstall Ubuntu, this time without any special characters. There
must be something wrong during
conversion.

Best regards

Andy

Thanks for your kind reply Andy,

if you don't mind, please still include the logs in /var/log/dist-
upgrade to this bugreport. Even if the error is minor, we would like to
know about it :)

Thanks,
 Michael
