Same problem 2.6.22.1.1 hardy heron built a debug version to see what was going on, but it worked perfectly. Could give you a backtrace of the failing version, but without symbols it doesn't look helpful. Slightly bizarre, but when I uninstalled the debug version installed in /usr/local, the other version started working for the first time in weeks! Perhaps it was something the install of the debug version did? I didn't try the failing version until after I'd already uninstalled the debug version.
