This causes my wireless PCMCIA card not to work. Using the p54pci driver, I get:
0000:02:00.0 (prism54pci): cannot find firmware (isl3886) ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:00.0 disabled prism54pci: probe of 0000:02:00.0 failed with error -2 (I note that the isl3886 firmware is present on my system, and prism54 finds and loads it correctly.) Once I load the prism54 module manually, everything works perfectly. The card is a 3Com 3CRWE154G72 Office Connect Wireless LAN Adapter (rev 01). lspci -nv: 02:00.0 0280: 10b7:6001 (rev 01) Subsystem: 10b7:6001 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11 Memory at 24000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K] Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 1 I'm running Hardy i386.
