I just tried to play this file in Mandriva 2008 (KDE 3.5.7) with openoffice.org.2.2.1-4.1mdv2008.0. No sound. Same result with all the pps I have tried. KDE and Kaffeine sounds (Xine) are OK. Mplayer is installed but the mplayer window in OOo Impress is gray and not responding. Java-1.6.0-sun is installed with Alsa support and its path is recognized by OOo Impress. JRE works fine with OOo Base.
