I've tried it with some ogg files and the same result. Interestingly, if I add the files individually, the tags get read properly on them straight away. If I remove all the files from the project and then add the directory in one hit, it all works as expected. In order to get it to work like this, I have to shut down Brasero and then re-open it in order to make sure that it hasn't missed any file tags in its cache.
