Public bug reported:
After trying to mount a share with "sudo mount -t smbfs..." using
netbios name in Hardy 8.04, I get the error messages "no ip specified,
could nor trsolve name". Using the IP instead of the netbios name does
not work either, I get an error messige Nr. 6 "share does not exist".
The worst of all: after having tried to mount with "smbfs", even
mounting with "cifs" does not work any more, though it had worked
before.
In Gutsy i had never encountered similar problems!
