I tested the newer kernel without the workaround, and I am no longer
experiencing kernel panics on my X60s on the second suspend. However,
my screen only powers on when I have the e1000 module whitelisted. The
machine resumes properly otherwise and I can type commands blind or
suspend again by shutting the lid. When I do have it whitelisted, the
screen comes on fine. (I tested this six or seven times with each
configuration.) I don't understand how these two are related and was
quite skeptical that they were, but I guess they are.
