This may need to be logged as a separate bug... please let me know. I'm
posting it here in case it is related and can support the
troubleshooting / effective workaround efforts.

I experience full CPU utilization when in on-line mode, but I've noticed
that going off-line (i.e., go to the File menu, then select Work
Offline) addresses the issue and CPU utilization returns to normal.
Obviously, this is only a work-around, but for me it appears to be an
effective one.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my mail configuration includes
several POP servers and one MS Exchange server.

Please let me know if this needs to be logged as a separate bug. Thank
you.

Distribution: 8.04 (upgraded from 7.10)
