I've experienced the same problem and have tried all the tips above but no success. I'm running Kubuntu 8.04 x64 bits on and the provided Eclipse 3.2.2. I was playing around with the provided ANT eclipse plug-in org.apache.ant_1.7.0.v200706080842 and the separate provided ANT 1.7.0 but with no success so far. I also find this problem a bit sever as these two tools are the most important for me now as Java development environment. I'll be thankful for every tip to overcome this issue. Thanks in advance.
