You could try having a look at the howto above for recompiling without tracker, check the rules file and see if the packagers have used the same method, if so simply remove --disable-tracker from the configure line. If they have used some other method you may want to look at the configure file in the source to see what the available options are. I believe there may even be an --enable-tracker option.
