The attached screenshot shows the difference between the values of gnome-system-monitor and network monitor applet. Translations of the attached figure: "Monitor do Sistema"=System Monitor "Propriedades da conexão"=Connection Properties "Recebidos"= Received "Enviados"= Sended "Total" means Total. We can see that there is a mismatch, while the gnome-system-monitor shows 1.5Gb of received data, the network monitor applet shows only 763.9Mb. The same hapens to the sended data (848Mb against 405.6Mb).
