Thank you for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I tried
opening up an image/wallpaper larger than the FF window size, which
opened in a zoomed in view, zoomed out to full size (which was bigger
than the window) and dragged it to the desktop and dropped. The image
was placed on my desktop as a file. In the original reporter's case, I
hope the FF window was not maximized to fill the screen (This might
sound lame but some people try to drag the image and drop it on the
panel). As it works for me and not confirmed by anyone else, am closing
this bug as invalid. Feel free to reopen this bug, if it can be
confirmed otherwise.
