Please, ejandi and Vincent, have a look at your /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old file and search for a backtrace to see if its the same as mine. Else you're not sure of anything.
I've been able to get a trace using gdb. Though I cannot be sure it is for the same bug (the crash occurred as usual when starting a video), but this will surely help. The crash occurs in the intel driver and is from libc6 memcpy (). Is that compatible with the backtrace I found in Xorg.0.log.old? ** Attachment added: "trace with gdb.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14258144/trace%20with%20gdb.log ** Summary changed: - [hardy] X random crash when playing videos (Intel 915GM) + X Intel server random crash in memcpy () when starting to play videos (Intel 915GM) ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- X Intel server random crash in memcpy () when starting to play videos (Intel 915GM) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220019 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
