Unfortunately, beagle cannot handle compressed man pages yet, as it cannot index inside archives at the moment, its a goal for later releases, but there are some difficulties handling child indexables in the file system, if anyone would like to lend a hand, please get in touch with the beagle developers on dashboard-hackers@gnome.org
