These sites have a lot of JavaScript inside. Try to install NoScript ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 ) and measure the CPU usage again. Both sites works well for me with and without JavaScript execution allowed.
I had this bug previosly but not now. Update your system. What is your graphics card? Have you installed some particular driver? (Excuse the array of orders and questions!
