Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mail-notification
When using mail-notification with Evolution accounts, the popups disappear instantly from the popup stack when a message is moved to another folder by a filter. Since the popup disappears instantly, and the message is simultaneously moved out of the account's inbox, this leaves me knowing only that I have a new message *somewhere*, and I have to manually plow through many folders to find what it might have been. The popup disappears instantly whether or not I have configured mail- notification to override the desktop default for popup expiration, and even when I have configured popups to never expire. The behavior for a message popup should be that it remains until the configured or default expiration time arrives. I would not even mind if the "open" and "mark as read" buttons failed in this scenario, but the instantaneous disappearance of the message popups is almost maddening. This almost certainly related to bug #66517 but if it reads as a duplicate I have been unclear in my report. ii mail-notification 4.1.dfsg.1-4.1ubuntu1 mail notification in system tray ii mail-notification-evolution 4.1.dfsg.1-4.1ubuntu1 evolution support for mail notification Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 ** Affects: mail-notification (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- popups disappear instantly when message is filtered https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228351 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
