Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

When I first boot into my laptop (Compaq F750US w/ Ubuntu 8.04 - updated
completely as of 10amEDT 09May2008), the ability to use one hand and
double-tap the touchpad to move a window, or grab an edge of a window to
resize it, works perfectly fine.

Note: If you've never done this, just double-tap in a window's top frame
HOLDING down on the touchpad on the second tap. A small
hand will appear noting you have grasp of the window and you can now
slide your finger on the touchpad to move the window.

Anyway, after awhile, but not necessarily due to the screen-saver timeout (as
I've tested this), the double-tap grab goes away 'til I reboot.

Attached are all of the files I believe are desired:
  dmesg_ok
  dmesg_fail
  proc_bus_input_devices_ok
  proc_bus_input_devices_fail
  Xorg.0.log_ok
  Xorg.0.log_fail
  lspci-vvnn.log
  uname-a.log
  version.log

Please let me know if you want any further information from me.

Thank You!
