After getting the network connection running once more (via RaLink driver rt61 configured using the /etc/Wireless&/RT61STA/rt61sta.dat file using WPAPSK) I upgraded the system from the net.
The provided rt61pci driver is still not working. I triedd again the RaLink driver and it seems to work a little bit better than before - I got a WPA network connection with the first try. I then enabled the "auto ra0" line in /etc/network/interfaces and rebooted my machine. This doens't work; same problem as with Dapper (sometimes boot fails, sometimes the network connection is not working). At least it could be a suggestion to provide all different kernel modules (rt61.ko from RaLing and serialmonkey.com and rt61pci from serialmokey.com) on the installation CDs which allows a advanced user to select the solution that best fits his machine. -- [Edgy Beta] rt61pci does not work at all https://launchpad.net/bugs/66416 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
