Dell OptiPlex 755, Quad Core Q6600, 2.4GHz, 4Gb Windows XP Pro SP2, fully updated ATI Radeon HD 2400 Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 6.0.156.0
First time install - not an upgrade - can't run live from CD. Same problem - "An unrecoverable processor error has occurred", etc. - Attempting install from ubunto-8.04-desktop-i386.iso, downloaded today (5/10/08). Will not run Check CD either. Attempted options noted before - vga=771 - noapic nolapic - nothing works. This is reproducible. I am continuing testing and will advise if I find anything else. I previously attempted 7.10 install, but that did not work due to the VPC PS/2 emulation issue. I thought my problem was a SATA/AHCI issue, but I just spent the afternoon playing with BIOS Legacy Mode to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks. -- Hardy Heron Alpha unable to boot in Virtual PC 2007 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183517 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
