Another way to provoke the bug is to use the stick with NetworkManager
(instead of "manual configuration"). As soon as an attempt to connect to
a network is made, the system breaks down (the nm-applet reports that it
is "connecting" and doesn't even get to ask for the encryption key).
Additionally, the displayed data is incorrect, e.g. the signal strength
is always zero.

Can also be observed on Live-CD (to avoid messing up file systems).
