I run into similar problem again. These are last lines from apt-get upgrade output: Preconfiguring packages ... (Reading database ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/bash_3.2-0ubuntu17_i386.deb (--unpack): files list file for package `libice-dev' is missing final newline Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/bash_3.2-0ubuntu17_i386.deb Processing was halted because there were too many errors. E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
I tried purging apt cache via apt-get clean and removing /var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin but it didn't help. -- package foomatic-filters 3.0.2-20071204-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: files list file for package `libice-dev' is missing final newline https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
