The itms:// URL you specified isn't an iTunes podcast link. I've looked for a valid one and found that valid iTunes podcast URLs have a structure like this one (from SN):
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/com.apple.jingle.app.store.DirectAction/viewPodcast?id=79016499 I've added code to handle situations like this more gracefully and with a good error message.
