Public bug reported: Running applications (LinuxDC++, VLC) using a user not logged in crashes with error Segmentation Fault when inserting a blank disk in the drive. I am running Ububtu 8.04. The applications run normally under the user logged in, but not under alternate users. Below is a paste of the backtrace.
