No Go I followed Simone Crescenzo's steps and still receive the same "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered The virutal machine will reset now.", just much earlier in the process. In fact start up looks like this:
Starting up... [ 11.445066] isapnp: checksum for device 1 is not valid (0x89) Then Virtual PC croaks.
